Philosophers, from ancient Greece to modern thinkers, have long identified the fleeting nature of life as a central dilemma of human existence. With our vast mental capacities to dream and plan, we are paradoxically constrained by our limited time to act on those ambitions.

There are countless global issues: hunger, disease, war, environmental decline, injustice. Yet, attempting to tackle everything is unrealistic. Concentrate on what you can realistically contribute.
