Renewing My Journey: Embracing Change in 60 Days

Chapter 1: A Fresh Start
Have you ever found yourself trapped in a cycle of addiction? I have, though it wasn’t substance abuse. It was an addiction I prefer not to disclose publicly. Breaking free from that habit was an immense challenge for me. I often attempted a 21-day detox but would find myself faltering by day five, only to repeat this pattern until I finally completed the detox.
When I finally achieved those 21 days, I was overjoyed. Recognizing the difficulty of relinquishing that habit, I vowed to maintain control if I ever stumbled again. I refused to abandon hope for myself.
Today marks the beginning of my #60daysbetter journey, starting on 08/25/2024. I anticipate judgment, but I am determined to persevere until I reach my goals.
I empathize with those who struggle to stop unhealthy eating habits, even when they lead to weight gain. The ultimate aim here is to establish a routine. I aspire to emulate Sir Charles, who consistently rises at the same time and takes a morning walk at six.
I’ve faced setbacks, yet I am ready to try again—this time with a fresh approach. I will limit myself to no more than three tasks daily (a tip from Sir Charles). I will adhere to a consistent sleep schedule (the thought of this already stresses me out). I’ll set a timer while watching TV to maintain control. Daily exercise is also non-negotiable.
All Is Not Lost
Just because I’m starting anew doesn’t mean I’ve hit rock bottom. Amidst the chaos and distractions of binge-watching shows, I’ve achieved significant milestones:
- I completed reading Make Your Bed by Admiral William H. McRaven.
- I haven’t left a dirty sink for the past 17 days.
- I produced seven journals, with five set for publication.
- My romance poetry book is on Amazon Kindle, awaiting final approval for launch.
- I recognized that I’ve been confined by a lack mindset, and I’m actively working to shift my perspective.
- I’ve been posting four times daily on my Instagram business account.
- I meticulously tracked my spending, which added stress but also clarity.
- I connected with a billionaire who appreciated my marketing pitch.
- I started teaching content marketing on TikTok, confident it will draw in new clients.
I realize I wasn’t doing poorly; I just had room for improvement. I am committed to doing better.
Currently, I am listening to Dr. Joe Dispenza, and I’m prepared to grant myself countless opportunities for growth. He emphasized that nothing changes until you are ready to change. He also stated something profound: to alter a situation, you must let go of the narrative tied to it. If you feel stuck due to a past relationship, you must consciously dismiss that story.
This realization is empowering! I will remind myself to avoid blaming circumstances for my situation. With divine guidance and mindfulness, I will navigate through this 60-day challenge.
