Reimagining My YouTube Channel for Future Performances

Chapter 1: Embracing New Beginnings
I am in the process of revitalizing my YouTube channel! This step is a preparation for potential live performances in the future.
My current project, "TIME CAPSULE ྐ," focuses on live performances of retro synth instrumental music. Once my wife and I return to the Chicago area, I aspire to participate in LGBTQIA+ events, showcasing my retro-themed compositions.
Though it was challenging, I decided to make many of my earlier tracks private instead of deleting them. This way, I retain the option to reintroduce them later if I choose. Initially, I had around 44 videos, but I’ve trimmed it down to 27 to maintain clarity and organization on my channel. While many of my musical inspirations have dabbled in various genres, I recognize that I'm not at their level yet, so I plan to focus on what I can manage effectively.
Despite my previous disdain for the notion of "Come see my laptop, LIVE!" often associated with DJs, I’ve come to accept that this is how music is performed today. As long as I have access to a PA system, I should be all set. If not, I may need to invest in a small mixing board and a couple of powered speakers. While the cost might be a consideration, there are good entry-level PA systems available for around $700.
Chapter 2: The Search for Community
My thoughts are currently focused on this new direction. I had hoped that relocating to Mexico would immerse us in a community of like-minded expats, but it seems that’s less common in Cancun. If we could have settled in Puerto Vallarta, we might have encountered more opportunities to collaborate musically, but the live rock music scene here is quite limited.
It appears that my wife and I are among the few permanent gringo residents in our area. There are others, but they don't share my passion for music.
