Essentially, these species can be seen as reproductive machines, with their primary goal being procreation. In this light, humans can be humorously classified as "sex machines."

At the heart of our instinct to reproduce lies the fundamental drive for survival. Yet, the source of this survival instinct remains a mystery. Regardless, the urge to live compels sexually reproducing species to procreate. Consequently, evolutionary processes have led to the development of both biological and psychological mechanisms that encourage mating at optimal times.

The question then arises: when is the right time to reproduce? The optimal timing maximizes the chances of offspring survival.
