When we reduce individuals to mere chemical components, the average human's worth is estimated at around $200. There are stories of organ trafficking that highlight the darker aspects of human value. Wealthy individuals sometimes exploit others for their body parts or even for sexual purposes, underscoring the grim realities of slavery and human trafficking.

In my view, this struggle surrounding human value is profound. While many claim that every life has worth, our actions often tell a different story. We lose patience with loved ones, engage in conflict, and even resort to violence.

Imagine a world with approximately 7.888 billion people, as estimated in 2021. Visualize that every individual, regardless of their status or location, is essential for the survival of humanity. If we accept the premise that aliens exist and that consciousness is fundamental, we might need every single soul on board for humanity to evolve into a member of a Galactic Federation.

For centuries, we've believed our differences divide us, but perhaps these very differences challenge us to prepare for what lies ahead.

What's Next?

The range of intelligent beings we may encounter could vary greatly, from the benign to the malevolent. The way we treat those we perceive as "lesser" raises questions about our readiness.

Humans are inherently intelligent and adaptable. We have repeatedly bounced back from crises, learning and evolving with each paradigm shift. The evolution of art and technology serves as an example. When creativity is unrestricted, individuals innovate in ways that lead to new advancements. There is merit in open-source models where creators receive credit but allow for collective improvement of ideas.

We are nearing a time of enhanced connectivity through AI and technology, where humanity, viewed from a broader perspective, forms a single organism. Each person contributes to this collective, both consciously and unconsciously.

The greatest reservoir of human knowledge might be found in graveyards, as many valuable ideas and talents go unrecognized. Transitioning to this new state of being is unprecedented. Each individual will be like a neuron in a vast brain. The relationship and organization of these "cells" will be essential.

Collective Consciousness

There exists a threshold of connectivity—the point at which Jung's concept of the collective unconscious becomes conscious. This new iteration of humanity will be guided by this collective awareness, ensuring that individuals retain their freedom to innovate, destroy, and create anew.

Some might argue that this collective consciousness already exists, guiding us along our path. We are exactly where we need to be, with enough free will to alter our course, yet we collectively choose not to.
