Discover Engaging Reads in Nostalgia and New Perspectives

Chapter 1: Curated Nostalgia and Fresh Talent

Greetings, dear readers and fellow enthusiasts of Medium! My aim in curating these stories is to unearth compelling narratives that may have been overlooked. This marks my 56th collection, offering you a wealth of reading choices. Over the weekend, we welcomed more than 150 new writers to our platform, and I will introduce them at the end of this collection for you to explore and follow.

Dr. Yildiz has recently spotlighted another skilled writer, David Mokotoff, MD, whose intriguing background and humorous, informative storytelling are well worth your time. Additionally, I’ve compiled some fascinating interviews with authors, making it easier for you to discover their life lessons and insights.

Aiden has curated our latest boosted stories, filled with hidden gems. He highlighted the work of Jozsef Kovacs, which he previously introduced as part of his educational initiative. Just the day before, he featured the boosted stories of Dr. Joan Naidorf. Aiden has also shared a captivating tale about his new love, SORA, which he believes will soon revolutionize the film industry. I plan to try it out myself, especially since I lack video editing skills.

Here's a quick note: our new newsletter is now available on Medium and has also been shared on Substack for our subscribers. You can read an open letter from Dr. Mehmet Yildiz addressing non-members, pointing out that many readers and writers do not actively contribute to the growth of our community. His insights are both valuable and relatable.

While Aiden focuses on newer contributions, I delve into older narratives to evoke a sense of nostalgia. However, I also include some fresh pieces from my daily readings, often prompted by editors to spotlight exceptional stories. Each one is a treasure, inviting your engagement and sharing on social media to broaden their reach. I attempted to follow many writers I hadn’t previously connected with, but I discovered a limit of 150 follows per day, which will require some patience.

Aiden has compiled a list for easy sharing, and he has also featured the most recent boosted stories from ILLUMINATION-Curated. I am confident you will find numerous outstanding pieces in his collection.

Chapter 2: Insights from the ILLUMINATION Community

In my latest reflections, I have listed all the boosted stories I engaged with last month, sharing my thoughts and identifying common themes in these remarkable tales. There’s something for every reader, as these well-crafted narratives span a variety of subjects and writing styles.

Recently, I authored two brief stories to keep my creativity flowing: "Her Son Saw Her in the Shower" and "The Sky Was Falling Down." Additionally, Aiden wrote a moving piece that resonated deeply with me, titled "Finding Comfort in Blocks: How Minecraft Eased My First Time Loneliness and Intense Grief at 17."

Recent Updates

The ILLUMINATION Editorial Team's monthly newsletter for January 2024 is out. Aiden has also shared it on Substack. As we prepare for the upcoming newsletter, we find ourselves perplexed by a noticeable decline in visibility. I encourage you to read Aiden's narrative for a deeper understanding of his concerns, articulated thoughtfully in his own words.

Moreover, Aiden has penned a compelling narrative titled "The Reason I Didn't Publish a Science and Health Article on Medium Today," and "Here's Why I Started to Write for NewsBreak Again in 2024."

If you missed the previous collection, I invite you to explore the recently published BOOSTED stories from ILLUMINATION Publications — V4. Dr. Yildiz recently had one of his stories critiqued by an expert due to its lackluster performance. While I appreciated the insights he provided, I found that the mentor's feedback did not entirely resonate with my experience of how our readers connect with our content.

Aiden and I continue to reach out to Dr. Yildiz as he manages several administrative tasks, including the onboarding of 130 new writers. In spite of his busy schedule, he remains upbeat, sharing an intriguing story about balancing his personal life with the support of 148 volunteer editors. His experiences offer valuable lessons and inspiration as we navigate the challenges of editing and curation.

On a more serious note, Dr. Yildiz also discussed the perils of our obsession with material wealth and how it may lead to unhappiness. His perspective aligns closely with my own, emphasizing altruism and gratitude.

I encountered an issue with my account being duplicated for the fifth time, much to the annoyance of my readers. I expressed my frustration in a story detailing the sophisticated methods employed by scammers to confuse my audience. After reporting the issue, I found a new story that outlines their latest tactics and provides guidance on safeguarding your account.

I encourage you to spread awareness about these fraudulent activities. Together, we can work to thwart such scammers, and your support is crucial in this collective effort. Just the day before, Dr. Yildiz's account was cloned for the third time, prompting him to share valuable advice.
