Welcome to all aspiring writers! Whether you're just starting or you've been on this journey for some time, I hope this article resonates with you in a meaningful or even humorous way.
Since there's no dedicated welcome page for this platform, I felt compelled to create my own version of one. When I first joined last October, I felt overwhelmed by the myriad of topics, publications, niches, and followers. Questions flooded my mind: Where do I begin? Should I align with a publication? Is a niche necessary, and what if I prefer not to have one? What’s the deal with self-publishing? And how many claps should I give?
My Initial Experience
What did I do? I took the plunge, penned my first article, and fumbled through the next few months. I already had a sense of my writing style—coming from the heart and sharing my authentic stories, hoping they would resonate with others. That’s my personal approach, and I’ve found it to be incredibly fulfilling.
You have the freedom to write about anything that sparks your interest; the possibilities are truly endless. Just seize an idea and run with it, irrespective of your expertise. And if you feel you lack expertise, don’t worry! At the end of the day, nobody is an expert on everything.
