Embracing Your Writing Journey: A Guide for New Authors

Introduction to New Writers

Welcome to all aspiring writers! Whether you're just starting or you've been on this journey for some time, I hope this article resonates with you in a meaningful or even humorous way.

Since there's no dedicated welcome page for this platform, I felt compelled to create my own version of one. When I first joined last October, I felt overwhelmed by the myriad of topics, publications, niches, and followers. Questions flooded my mind: Where do I begin? Should I align with a publication? Is a niche necessary, and what if I prefer not to have one? What’s the deal with self-publishing? And how many claps should I give?

My Initial Experience

What did I do? I took the plunge, penned my first article, and fumbled through the next few months. I already had a sense of my writing style—coming from the heart and sharing my authentic stories, hoping they would resonate with others. That’s my personal approach, and I’ve found it to be incredibly fulfilling.

You have the freedom to write about anything that sparks your interest; the possibilities are truly endless. Just seize an idea and run with it, irrespective of your expertise. And if you feel you lack expertise, don’t worry! At the end of the day, nobody is an expert on everything.

You'll discover a community brimming with support and a wealth of impressive articles to explore. We’re all eager to hear about your experiences, beliefs, and knowledge, even when our views differ.

Persistence is Key

You might strike gold and start earning right away, or it may take some time. The crucial part is to persist and disregard the skeptics. They can be discouraging, but their negativity reflects their inability to see the positives here.

Focus on your work and strive to do your best. Take the time
